Who We Are
Humble Beginnings, Faithful Purpose
H2O Causes for Christ is a faith-driven nonprofit dedicated to helping those in need through practical acts of service. Established in 2019, we are committed to providing essential resources to the Navajo Nation and homeless communities in New Mexico.
Our work is guided by compassion and a belief that every small act of kindness can create lasting change. We serve with humility, recognizing that God directs our path and opens doors we could never imagine.

A Mission of Faith, Compassion, and Action
Answering the Call to Serve
H2O Causes for Christ exists to serve the Navajo Nation and other underserved communities by meeting essential needs like water, firewood, and home repairs. Our journey has been guided by faith, strengthened by challenges, and blessed with divine connections.
Our Story
A Life-Changing Encounter
The journey began when Boz, our founder, learned about the struggles faced by the Navajo people through his son, a young attorney representing a Navajo client applying for disability benefits. Boz was deeply moved upon learning that many Navajo families live without running water or heat, enduring conditions that felt unimaginable in the United States.
Recognizing the Need
The severity of the hardships struck Boz. Families often travel 80 miles or more just to haul water and collect firewood for heating. This reality seemed closer to a third-world crisis than something happening in New Mexico. Compelled to act, Boz felt God stirring his heart toward service.
The Name Takes Shape
Realizing that water was a critical need, Boz and Ms. Lorrine, a close friend and board member, established H2O Causes for Christ. Lorrine suggested adding an ‘s’ to “Cause,” recognizing that many more needs would emerge. She was right—requests for firewood, home repairs, and healthcare support soon followed.
Answering God’s Call
In May 2020, Boz and his wife, Suzy, relocated from Carlsbad to Albuquerque to be closer to their children and better positioned to serve. Despite Boz’s initial uncertainty, Suzy reminded him of God’s call: “Did not God tell us we were to go?” Their faith strengthened, they pressed forward.
A Divine Encounter
During a garage sale at Boz’s daughter’s home in the fall of 2020, a white pickup truck pulled up. The Navajo driver, Harry, introduced himself, and through that chance meeting, Boz connected with Martha and Harry Charley. This introduction became a pivotal moment in H2O’s mission.
God-Ordained Connections
Martha and Harry Charley introduced Boz to Pastor Stephen of The Mission Church at Rincon Marquez, who continues to be a key partner in outreach efforts. From there, more doors opened through faith-led encounters, proving time and again that God directs this mission.
All Glory to God
Every step of our journey has been guided by God’s hand. What began as a small effort to deliver water has grown into a broader mission of service, compassion, and faith. We serve with gratitude, knowing that all the glory belongs to Him.
